synopsis

This film tells the story of Ben and his little sister Saoirse – the last Seal-child – who embark on a fantastic journey across a fading world of ancient legend and magic in an attempt to return to their home by the sea. Based in Irish folklore, ‘Song of the Sea’ was directed by Tomm Moore and produced out of Cartoon Saloon; we co-financed the film, producing 35 minutes of the animation in our studio. Among many awards and much critical acclaim, ‘Song of the Sea’ was nominated for an Academy Award for best animated feature.
